Biography
Chiara Ferrando (Turin, 1978) after completing her studies in economics, always interested in photography as a medium to express her vision—embraced it more deeply through specialized courses and collaborations with architects and artists.
Her artistic and intellectual research focuses primarily on architecture and landscape, with a constant interpretative effort to unveil the soul and the history that places carry within themselves. Her curiosity and inquiry are oriented towards the contrast between old and new, between architectural volumes and styles, with a particular attention to the interplay of light and shadow, which becomes a form of storytelling.
Her photographs are recognizable for their almost painterly and stylized approach, where instinct and creativity are guided by refined taste and a keen eye, turning each image into an emotional journey.
The use of black and white enhances the architectural form, emphasizing texture, rhythm, and the emotional weight of built space. Through monochrome tones and architectural lines, these images investigate the tension between structure and void, movement and stillness.
