DESCRIPTION:DENDROGRAPHIESThe Secret Writing of TreesCarolina Cuneo and Francesca Migone \nMay 7 – June 7\, 2026Via Maria Vittoria 45 – Turin \nCRAG GALLERY is pleased to present\, for the second consecutive year in collaboration with VisionQuesT4rosso in Genoa\, the two-person exhibition “DENDROGRAPHIES_The Secret Writing of Trees”\, opening on May 7\, 2026\, as part of the programme for Turin’s Month of Photography. \nAt the venue in Via Parma 66D\, the exhibition brings into dialogue the works of Carolina Cuneo and Francesca Migone: two artists distant in generation and methodological approach\, yet united by the desire to explore the utopia of a reconciliation between human beings and the natural world. The exhibition investigates a dimension in which the planet is not merely a setting\, but a living organism that pulses and breathes in harmony with universal vital energy. \nThe exhibition path moves between archetype and matter\, beyond the boundaries of the visible\, rejecting processes of contemporary alienation in order to embrace a journey of meditation and regeneration. In Francesca Migone’s works\, copper threads evoke the textures of chestnut bark\, intertwining in an intense dialogue with nocturnal images of silent forests. \nThe same concept of interweaving and vision—this time centred on the tree as symbol and universal archetype—appears in Carolina Cuneo’s photographic works: the tree as an axis joining earth and sky\, conscious and unconscious. In this space\, the human being rediscovers their ancient role as mediator and guardian of an ancestral symbolic heritage. \nThe artistic operation takes shape as a continuous metamorphosis: a flow that dissolves generational distances in order to celebrate movement\, continuity\, and the profound aspiration to become “one” with nature. \n\nCarolina Cuneo was born in Genoa\, where she lives and works. She developed her photographic path in her hometown with photographers Alberto Terrile and Franco Fontana.\nShe works with her head in the clouds\, one foot on Earth and the other among the stars. If the category of “poetic photography” truly existed\, much of her work would stand as a reference point. Hers is a constant navigation between visual art photography and creative photography. Despite her reserved nature\, her passion for art history and her creative research make her an essential contemporary voice in photography\, where she has learned to master and subtly play with light. Her works have been exhibited at contemporary art fairs in Venice\, Salerno\, New York\, Gaspé\, and Turin\, as well as in photography exhibitions in Savignano sul Rubicone\, Arles\, and Reggio Emilia.\nFrancesca Migone (1989) currently works between Genoa and Milan\, where her studio is based. Her research focuses on the dynamics linked to the transformation of a place from visual and political-sociological perspectives.\nShe works across different scales of complexity\, highlighting the relationships between object\, space\, and context\, often using textile as a defining element and interpretative key to the environment. She obtained a specialist degree in Decoration\, focusing her research on textile experimentation within visual arts and multimedia installations. She also pursued studies in textile surface design at the Academy of Fine Arts in Bologna\, continuing her training through the study and practice of weaving. Her works have been exhibited at ViaFarini Residence\, Anonima Kunsthalle Varese\, Triennale Milano\, Biennale di Monza\, Museo di Arte Contemporanea Villa Croce\, The Others Art Fair\, and Meeting Gardens Festival.\n\n  \n DENDROGRAFIE \nLa scrittura segreta degli alberi \nCarolina Cuneo e Francesca Migone \n 7 maggio – 7 giugno 2026 \nVia Maria Vittoria 45 – Torino \nCRAG GALLERY è lieta di presentare\, in collaborazione per il secondo anno consecutivo con la galleria VisionQuesT4rosso di Genova\, la mostra bipersonale “DENDROGRAFIE_La scrittura segreta degli alberi”\, dal 7 maggio 2026\, inserendosi nel palinsesto del mese della fotografia torinese. \nPresso la sede di via Parma 66D\, l’esposizione mette in dialogo le opere di Carolina Cuneo e Francesca Migone: due artiste distanti per generazione e approccio metodologico\, ma unite dal desiderio di esplorare l’utopia di una riconciliazione tra l’essere umano e il mondo naturale. La mostra indaga una dimensione in cui il pianeta non è solo scenario\, ma un organismo che pulsa e respira in armonia con l’energia vitale universale. \nIl percorso espositivo si muove tra archetipo e materia\, oltre i confini del visibile\, rifiutando i processi di alienazione contemporanea per abbracciare un cammino di meditazione e rigenerazione. Nelle opere di Francesca Migone i fili di rame evocano le trame delle cortecce di castagno\, intrecciandosi in un dialogo serrato con immagini notturne di boschi silenti. \nIl medesimo concetto di intreccio e visione\, ma questa volta con ad oggetto l’albero come simbolo e archetipo universale\, le troviamo nei lavori fotografici di Carolina Cuneo: albero come asse che congiunge terra e cielo\, conscio e inconscio. In questo spazio\, l’essere umano riscopre il suo ruolo millenario di tramite e custode di un bagaglio simbolico ancestrale. \nL’operazione artistica si configura come una metamorfosi continua: un flusso che annulla le distanze generazionali per celebrare il movimento\, la continuità e l’aspirazione profonda a farsi “uno” con la natura. \n\nCarolina Cuneo nasce Genova\, dove vive e lavora. Ha costruito il suo percorso fotografico nella sua citta con il fotografo Alberto Terrile. e con Franco Fontana \nLavora con la testa dentro le nuvole con un piede sulla Terra e l’altro tra le Stelle. Se davvero esistesse la categoria “fotografia poetica”\, la maggior parte dei suoi lavori ne sarebbe un riferimento. Un costante navigare tra la fotografia di arte visiva e la fotografia creativa. Nonostante la sua timidezza\, la sua passione per la storia dell’arte le sue ricerche creative la rendono una creatrice contemporanea imprescindibile nel campo della fotografia dove ha imparato a padroneggiare e a giocare sottilmente con la luce. Sue opere sono state esposte in fiere d’arte contemporanea a Venezia\, Salerno\, New York\, Gaspé\, Torino e in mostre fotografiche a Savignano sul Rubicone\, Arles\, Reggio Emilia. \nFrancesca Migone (1989) attualmente lavora tra Genova e Milano\, dove ha il suo studio. Svolge un’indagine rivolta alle dinamiche legate alla trasformazione di un luogo\, dal punto di vista visivo e politico-sociologico.\nLavora su scale di differente complessità\, sottolineando i rapporti tra manufatto\, spazio e contesto\, spesso utilizzando il tessuto come elemento caratterizzante e chiave di lettura dell’ambiente. Ha conseguito la laurea specialistica in Decorazione\, focalizzando la sua ricerca sulla sperimentazione tessile nell’ambito delle arti visive e delle installazioni multimediali. Ha seguito un percorso di progettazione di superfici del tessuto all’Accademia di Belle Arti di Bologna\,\nproseguendo la sua formazione anche nello studio e nella pratica della tessitura.
