Founded in 2016 with the aim of supporting emerging painters\, CRAG now continues its research by exhibiting these artists alongside mid-career practitioners. \nThe exhibition will present large-scale paintings\, bold ceramic works\, and delicate watercolours. Pallavisini explores animal forms and the ways in which they are articulated\, addressing the theme of the relationship between humans and nature with irony combined with an authentic sensitivity. \nThe artist describes his practice as “a chaotic process\, made up of layers of images\, construction and deconstruction of animal forms\, trying to avoid the stereotypes associated with these subjects\, in order to arrive at a final image rich in meaning\, capable of encompassing the entire process\, the second thoughts\, and the events that have unfolded on the pictorial surface.” \nThe title of the exhibition\, Goats Never Fall\, metaphorically embodied by goats as animals that climb steep cliffs without falling\, evokes alternation\, a constant boundary with risk\, and an active\, dynamic relationship with the void. Various elements intertwine in the works\, generating constant tension: the instability of form\, the chaos of images\, figuration\, and the fluidity of animal movement. Instability is not understood as a limitation\, but as a horizon—a condition generated by the complexity of contemporary reality\, in which both humans and\, more broadly\, all living beings find themselves constantly immersed. \nFrom this emerges one of the central themes of the artist’s research: coexistence and respect for our shared world\, often considered by humans as their own prerogative\, forgetting the obligation to protect the planet. \nBalance does not exist as a definitive state\, but as a continuous trial. Humans attempt to dominate reality; the goat\, which manages to maintain its balance\, acts in a similar way\, yet faces its condition with stoic resistance and humility. It does not fall into the ravine\, it does not fall from the tree\, and with irony Sebastiano Pallavisini tells analogous stories in his paintings. Pallavisini indaga le forme animali e il modo in cui esse si articolano\, affrontando il tema del rapporto tra uomo e natura\, con ironia unita a una sensibilità autentica. \nL’artista descrive la propria pratica come «un processo caotico\, fatto di stratificazioni di immagini\, costruzione e decostruzione di forme animali\, cercando di evitare gli stereotipi legati a questi soggetti\, per arrivare a un’immagine finale carica di significato\, capace di racchiudere in sé l’intero processo\, i ripensamenti e gli avvenimenti che si sono succeduti sulla superficie pittorica». \nIl titolo della mostra Goats never fall\, metaforicamente incarnato dalle capre come animali che si arrampicano sui dirupi senza cadere\, richiama un’alternanza\, un confine costante con il rischio\, una relazione attiva e dinamica con il vuoto. Nelle opere si intrecciano diversi elementi che generano una tensione costante: l’instabilità della forma\, il caos delle immagini\, la figurazione e la liquidità del movimento animale. L’instabilità non è intesa come un limite\, ma come un orizzonte\, una condizione generata dalla complessità della realtà contemporanea\, nella quale tanto l’uomo quanto\, più in generale\, tutti gli esseri viventi si trovano costantemente immersi. \nDa qui emerge uno dei temi centrali della ricerca dell’artista: la convivenza e il rispetto per il mondo comune\, spesso considerato dall’uomo come una propria prerogativa\, dimenticando l’obbligo di tutela nei confronti del pianeta \nL’equilibrio non esiste come stato definitivo\, ma come una continua messa alla prova. L’uomo tenta di dominare la realtà; la capra\, che riesce a mantenersi in equilibrio\, agisce in modo analogo\, ma con stoica resistenza e umiltà affronta la propria condizione. Non cade nel dirupo\, non cade dall’albero\, e con ironia Sebastiano Pallavisini racconta storie analoghe nei suoi quadri. SUMMARY:MEGA ART FAIR - MILANO
DESCRIPTION:We are pleased to take part to MEGA ART FAIR IN MILANO with the artist GIACOMO MODOLO. \nWe will present the \nInside the Flag: 1.5 × 2 meter diptych stands as one of the most current expressions of the research of Giacomo Modolo\, a Vicenza-born artist from the class of 1988. His painting—always figurative yet traversed by abstract contaminations and deeply influenced by historical and contemporary events—finds in this work a sort of manifesto: an investigation into the contemporary need to belong to something in order to feel part of history. \nIn the painting\, the space that hosts the figures merges with the decorations of a hypothetical flag\, cancelling depth and perspective. Any clear distinction between what belongs to the colored fabric and what is real disappears: the environment and the figures themselves are permeated by the same chromatic contamination. Within this carnivalesque scenario\, a kind of ritual seems to unfold\, punctuated by the presence of small fires that at times transform into vegetal elements. \nInside the Flag thus becomes an immersive experience: being the flag and\, at the same time\, being the environment that inhabits it\, until every boundary between individual identity and collective symbol dissolves.

Presented in the context of the exchange initiative between TAG – Torino Art Galleries meets Art Palma Contemporani\, the show brings together the works of Italian artists Alessandro Cardinale and Giacomo Modolo. \nMoving beyond the traditional understanding of portraiture\, the exhibition explores how identity\, presence\, and representation can be reimagined through contemporary artistic practices. Rather than focusing solely on the depiction of a face or figure\, the works presented investigate the psychological\, symbolic\, and conceptual dimensions of portraiture. The exhibition marks the beginning of a new collaborative path with CRAG Gallery and inaugurates a program dedicated to emerging artists\, within a space conceived as a dynamic environment for research\, promotion\, and dialogue. \nPallavisini’s painting practice is rooted in his training at the Academy of Fine Arts in Venice\, reflected in a careful construction of the image and a particular sensitivity to painterly material and the relationship between figure and space. Painting emerges as a layered language in which mark and color retain a strong expressive autonomy. \nThe works are inhabited by animal figures and hybrid presences\, suspended between reality and imagination. While maintaining formal recognizability\, these subjects adopt attitudes and dynamics that recall human behavior: they observe one another\, brush past each other\, isolate themselves\, or confront each other. The result is a series of scenes that evoke shared relationships and fragilities\, activating a subtle shift between animal and human in which the viewer is led to recognize elements of their own experience. \nA distinctive feature of the work is a subtle\, understated irony that runs through the images via deviations\, unexpected juxtapositions\, and slight dissonances. This register keeps the works balanced between immediacy and depth\, avoiding a single\, fixed interpretation. \nThe exhibition is conceived as an experience of discovery and direct interaction. Questo registro mantiene le opere in equilibrio tra immediatezza e profondità\, evitando una lettura univoca. \nLa mostra si configura come un’esperienza di scoperta e di interazione diretta. Le opere richiedono uno sguardo attivo e una disponibilità alla relazione: non una fruizione passiva\, ma un incontro in cui ogni lavoro si completa attraverso l’interpretazione dello spettatore.
