DESCRIPTION:MOSTRA PROROGATA AL 14 GIUGNO \n \nKALEIDO_SKOPIO \nAlessandro Fabbris & Roger Coll \n9 maggio – 14 giugno 2024 \nCRAG Gallery è lieta di inaugurare la mostra “Kaleido_Skopio”\, bipersonale degli artisti Alessandro Fabbris (Torino\, 1977) e Roger Coll (Vic\, 1979) in occasione del mese della fotografia torinese. \nLa Galleria accoglie da una parte le fotografie del torinese Fabbris\, con la presentazione di due nuovi cicli di opere realizzati dal 2023 ad oggi e anticipati alla fiera The Phair – 2024\, in dialogo con le delicate sculture dello spagnolo Roger Coll. \nLa mostra Kaleido_Skopio risulta infatti essere una multiforme e multicolore intesa tra le opere in esposizione che\, come ci suggerisce il titolo stesso\, unisce bellezza\, forma e osservazione in continuo cambiamento\, favorendo l’immaginazione dell’osservatore. \nIn mostra si alternano le fotografie della serie Superfici\, composta da fotografie di superfici colorate sulle quali vengono proiettate luci con temperatura e colore diversa ed ove l’oggetto viene fotografato più volte sullo stesso fotogramma digitale\, utilizzando tempi lunghi di esposizione e movimenti ortogonali\, quasi a simulare una scansione (che richiama i precedenti lavori dell’artista.) In altre opere delle serie quali light #01\,light #02\, light #03 il soggetto catturato è la luce stessa proiettata direttamente sulla superficie dello scanner piano tramite mascherature e riflessi. Ne derivano opere che risultano stare al limite tra il fotografico ed il pittorico.In ultimo troviamo la nuova serie Riempimento generativo che parte dalla elaborazione digitale di foto di still Life e l’uso dell’I.A. Estrapolando dallo scatto originale alcuni riflessi di luce sulla superficie dell’acqua o sulle ombre proiettate sul piano d’appoggio è stato chiesto al software di elaborazione dell’immagine di generare un riempimento delle parti mancanti basandosi sulla I.A. La costituzione dell’opera come trittico è la risultante delle tre opzioni generative che la I.A. ha fornito. \nTra le immagini fotografiche troviamo a cadenza le opere dello scultore spagnolo Roger Coll\, già presentato al pubblico torinese nella sua mostra personale dello scorso anno. Nuove sculture in ceramica\, in continuità con la precedente ricerca\, dialogano con le fotografie\, emergendo in tutta la loro delicata forma\, risultato di una sapiente tecnica nella realizzazione. Roger Coll con le sue sculture dà vita a una narrazione di forme e colori che dialogano con lo spazio e con le immagini fotografiche e conferiscono una fluidità percettibile di energia e suggestione. \nOrari di mostra: \nmercoledì – giovedì – venerdì ore 15/19 \nsabato e domenica tutto il giorno su appuntamento \n\nKALEIDO_SKOPIO\nAlessandro Fabbris & Roger Coll \nCRAG – CHIONO REISOVA ART GALLERY\nVia Parma 66 D – Turin \n9 May – 14 June 2024 \nCRAG Gallery is pleased to inaugurate the exhibition “Kaleido_Skopio”\, a bi personale exhibition by artists Alessandro Fabbris (Turin\, 1977) and Roger Coll (Vic\, 1979) on the occasion of Turin photography month. \nThe Gallery welcomes on one hand the photographs of the Turin-based Fabbris\, with the presentation of two new cycles of works created from 2023 to today and anticipated at The Phair – 2024 fair\, in dialogue with the delicate sculptures of the Spanish Roger Coll.\nThe Kaleido_Skopio exhibition is in fact a multifaceted and multicolored understanding of the works on display which\, as the title itself suggests\, combines beauty\, form and constantly changing observation\, encouraging the imagination of the observer.\nThe exhibition alternates with photographs from the Superfici series\, composed of photographs of colored surfaces on which lights with different temperatures and colors are projected and where the object is photographed several times on the same digital frame\, using long exposure times and orthogonal movements\, almost to simulate a scan (which recalls the artist’s previous works.) In other works from the series such as light #01\, light #02\, light #03 the captured subject is the light itself projected directly onto the surface of the flatbed scanner through masking and reflections . The result is works that appear to be on the border between the photographic and the pictorial. Lastly we find the new series Generative Filling which starts from the digital processing of still life photos and the use of AI. By extrapolating from the original shot some light reflections on the surface of the water or on the shadows projected on the support surface\, the image processing software was asked to generate a filling of the missing parts based on the AI. The constitution of the work as a triptych is the result of the three generative options that the I.A. It has provided. \nAmong the photographic images we periodically find the works of the Spanish sculptor Roger Coll\, already presented to the Turin public in his personal exhibition last year. New ceramic sculptures\, in continuity with previous research\, dialogue with the photographs\, emerging in all their delicate form\, the result of a skilful technique in their creation. Roger Coll with his sculptures gives life to a narrative of shapes and colors that dialogue with space and photographic images and confer a perceptible fluidity of energy and suggestion. \nExhibition times:\nWednesday – Thursday – Friday 3pm/7pm\nSaturday and Sunday all day by appointment

Le giornate si allungano\, il clima è più caldo\, è il momento della rifioritura\, per noi che torniamo a passeggiare nei parchi\, per l’arte che riaccoglie la spinta ottimistica della “bella stagione” e per le rose che raggiungono il loro massimo splendore in questo periodo dell’anno. \nGli artisti Luca Coser\, Luca Freschi\, Lorenzo Gnata\, Jiri Hauschka\, Chen Li\, Elisabetta Mariuzzo\, Enrico Smerilli\, Giacomo Modolo\, Oscar Contreras Rojas\, Roger Coll e Giuliano Sale dialogano attraverso la loro poetica sui simbolismi\,  allegorie\, miti e significati che ruotano attorno alla rosa\, nella storia dell’arte ma non solo. Sono artisti con origini diverse che hanno declinato questo tema con la sensibilità e background personale di ognuno di essi – quest’ultima è una tematica molto a cuore per CRAG Gallery\, che da anni si impegna a instaurare dialoghi tra diversi paesi\, dando opportunità ad artisti emergenti e più affermati di confrontarsi. \nLa rosa\, nella sua storia secolare e nell’arte\, ha sempre avuto una simbologia complessa poiché racchiude in sé semantiche totalmente contrastanti. È simbolo di amore\, perfezione\, purezza\, passione\, vita e morte e assume significati differenti a seconda del contesto\, del colore e delle spine. \nLa rosa rossa la vediamo nascere dal sangue e dalle lacrime dell’inconsolabile Afrodite di fronte alla morte dell’amato Adone. Mito in cui la rosa assume il significato dell’amore passionale\, sofferto\, tanto potente da vincere la morte. La troviamo in molte fiabe come simbolo della stessa vita umana\, quella terrena che dallo splendore arriva al decadimento\, e quella successiva in cui è portatrice di nuova vita e resurrezione come nuova opportunità per amare. Nella fiaba de La Bella e La Bestia – che non a caso nasce dal racconto di Amore e Psiche – la rosa sembra svolgere il ruolo di un orologio vitale che sta per scadere e che\, di nuovo\, può sfidare la morte e la maledizione solo con la forza del vero amore.\nDa sempre accompagna il gesto d’amore del dono: si porge una rosa per donare il proprio amore. Tuttavia\, in passato\, è stata anche simbolo di segretezza\, quando\, sotto forma di sigillo\, veniva inserita in dettagli di chiese\, confessionali\, congregazioni; la locuzione latina sub–rosa significava appunto una confidenza fatta in assoluta segretezza. Nella tradizione e nelle icone cristiane è spesso allegoria di paradiso\, purezza\, di un grembo fertile ma puro\, della stessa Vergine Maria\, ma al tempo stesso la ritroviamo come corona dei martiri\, portatrice di dolore e simbolo dei sacrifici fatti in nome della fede. Per i marinai\, invece\, è la guida verso nuove mete\, l’avventura\, la scoperta – che a sua volta è il movimento verso la conoscenza\, il viaggio di Colombo\, l’età moderna – ma anche la bussola che li riaccompagna verso il porto sicuro di casa. La ritroviamo\, dunque\, in tutta la storia dell’arte\, la letteratura\, la poesia\, in questo eterno discorso emozionale che lega arte e vita\, arte e amore\, il godimento emotivo dell’atto artistico che fa bene\, a volta male\, al cuore. Continua ad essere portatrice di questi valori anche nell’arte contemporanea. \nPensiamo alla famosa performance di Gina Pane in cui\, usando il suo corpo come catalizzatore delle esperienze della vita\, assegna alla rosa il compito di infliggere dolore al corpo di donna costretta nel suo stereotipato ruolo di moglie\, mamma\, casalinga\, quindi rimettendo in scena una sorta di martirio personale e al tempo stesso condiviso\, o pensiamo alla forza dirompente del fiore usato come arma per distruggere i vetri delle macchine\, e simbolicamente come arma femminista\, in Ever is over all dell’artista Pipilotti Rist. \nE’ infine\, con un semplice pensiero tratto da Il Piccolo Principe sull’importanza di questo fiore “È il tempo che hai perduto per la tua rosa che ha fatto la tua rosa così importante” – di Antoine de Saint-Exupéry\, che lasciamo alle opere in mostra il compito di toccare le corde sensibili. \n  \nLa mostra è realizzata con la partnership di “Palazzo Rosa – Le stanze della Cosmetica”. \n  \nOrari di mostra: \nsabato e domenica tutto il giorno su appuntamento \n  \n\nSTAR ROSE \nCRAG Gallery is pleased to inaugurate the collective exhibition “STAR/ROSE” in the Casa Toesca space in Rivarolo Canavese\, from 1 to 30 June 2024.\nMay is dedicated to roses. The days are getting longer\, the climate is warmer\, it’s time for flowering again\, for us who go back to walking in the parks\, for the art that welcomes back the optimistic push of the “good season” and for the roses that reach their maximum splendor this time of year.\nThe artists Luca Coser\, Luca Freschi\, Lorenzo Gnata\, Jiri Hauschka\, Chen Li\, Elisabetta Mariuzzo\, Enrico Smerilli\, Giacomo Modolo\, Oscar Contreras Rojas\, Roger Coll and Giuliano Sale dialogue through their poetics on the symbolisms\, allegories\, myths and meanings that revolve around the rose\, in the history of art but not only. They are artists with different origins who have expressed this theme with the sensitivity and personal background of each of them – the latter is a topic very close to the heart of CRAG Gallery\, which for years has been committed to establishing dialogues between different countries\, giving opportunities to artists emerging and more established to compete.\nThe rose\, in its centuries-old history and in art\, has always had a complex symbolism as it embodies totally contrasting semantics. It is a symbol of love\, perfection\, purity\, passion\, life and death and takes on different meanings depending on the context\, color and thorns.\nWe see the red rose born from the blood and tears of the inconsolable Aphrodite faced with the death of her beloved Adonis. Myth in which the rose takes on the meaning of passionate\, suffered love\, so powerful as to conquer death. We find it in many fairy tales as a symbol of human life itself\, the earthly one that goes from splendor to decay\, and the subsequent one in which it is the bearer of new life and resurrection as a new opportunity to love. In the fairy tale of Beauty and the Beast – which not surprisingly originates from the story of Cupid and Psyche – the rose seems to play the role of a vital clock that is about to expire and which\, again\, can challenge death and the curse only with the strength of true love.\nIt has always accompanied the loving gesture of giving: you offer a rose to give your love. However\, in the past\, it was also a symbol of secrecy\, when\, in the form of a seal\, it was inserted into details of churches\, confessionals\, congregations; the Latin phrase sub-rosa meant a confidence made in absolute secrecy. In Christian tradition and icons it is often an allegory of paradise\, purity\, of a fertile but pure womb\, of the Virgin Mary herself\, but at the same time we find her as the crown of the martyrs\, bearer of pain and symbol of the sacrifices made in the name of faith. For sailors\, however\, it is the guide towards new destinations\, adventure\, discovery – which in turn is the movement towards knowledge\, Columbus’ voyage\, the modern age – but also the compass that accompanies them back towards the safe haven of home. We find it\, therefore\, throughout the history of art\, literature\, poetry\, in this eternal emotional discourse that links art and life\, art and love\, the emotional enjoyment of the artistic act that is good\, sometimes bad\, for Heart. She continues to be the bearer of these values ​​also in contemporary art.\nLet us think of Gina Pane’s famous performance in which\, using her body as a catalyst for life’s experiences\, she assigns the rose the task of inflicting pain on the body of a woman forced into her stereotyped role as wife\, mother\, housewife\, therefore re-enacting a a sort of personal and at the same time shared martyrdom\, or we think of the explosive force of the flower used as a weapon to destroy car windows\, and symbolically as a feminist weapon\, in Ever is over all by the artist Pipilotti Rist.\nIt is finally\, with a simple thought taken from The Little Prince on the importance of this flower “It is the time you have lost for your rose that has made your rose so important” – by Antoine de Saint-Exupéry\, that we leave to works on display have the task of touching sensitive chords. \nThe exhibition is organized with the partnership of “Palazzo Rosa – Le Stanze della Cosmetica”. \nExhibition times:\nSaturday and Sunday all day by appointment\nInvia commenti
