DESCRIPTION:LE BEATITUDINI  \nSolo show of Laura Omacini \nMarch 2 – April 1\, 2023 \nCrag Gallery is pleased to present “Le beatitudes”\, a solo exhibition by the artist Laura Omacini (Venice\, 1991) in the new gallery location in via Parma 66D\, from 2 March to 1 April 2023. \nLe beatitudes is the title that brings together the latest series of works by Laura Omacini\, presented for the first time in the Project Room of the Ca’ Pesaro Museum in Venice on the occasion of the eighteenth edition of the Contemporary Art Day\, and collected on this occasion at the new headquarters of the CRAG gallery in Turin\, already promoter of the lagoon exhibition in collaboration with AMACI and ArtVerona. \nThe new series of works develops around a theme deeply linked to the city of Venice\, but which opens up to a reflection that can be extended to the panorama of all historic cities\, focused on the relationship between living and preserving\, between public and private space\, between sacred places and profane\, embracing a material that touches existential and identity issues. \nThe subject of the series are in fact the scaffolding that climbs around the buildings being restored: constructions of an impermanent nature\, but which take the form of constant elements of the urban landscape\, especially where a large number of ancient buildings are concentrated. \nThe entire corpus of works is developed through a complex technique\, obtained through a slow overlapping of transparent glazes spread over collages formed by fragments of photos taken from newspapers. The result is compositions characterized by a continuous interference between the different planes of representation\, where the structures of innocent pipes frame the images of an elusive present\, while the gaze pursues the rising of the large protective sheets\, which seem to mend and contain the split between material on which they themselves rely. \nThe series fits perfectly within the path of the artist\, whose work is characterized by diaphanous and rarefied atmospheres\, in which the description of border places and environments without stable references identifies a symbolic space in which to simulate the encounter between landscape interior and circumstantial reality\, generating images that are both dreamlike and realistic. \nLAURA OMACINI\nLaura Omacini was born in Venice in 1991\, she studied at the Academy of Fine Arts in Venice and at the École Européenne Supérieure d’Art de Bretagne in Rennes. In 2018 she was the winner of the Contemporary Art Prize organized by the Rotary Clubs of Bonn\, Novara and Strasbourg. Between 2019 and 2020 you obtained the assignment of an atelier at the Bevilacqua La Masa Foundation Institution in Venice. In 2020 she presented her first solo exhibition at the CRAG gallery in Turin and in 2021 she took part in the artist residency program at the MEVE (Veneto memorial of the Great War of Montebelluna). As a result of winning the Level 0 award\, achieved together with the CRAG gallery in Turin at the 16th edition of ArtVerona\, in 2022 she presented her solo exhibition Le beatitudes in the Ca ‘Pesaro Museum in Venice.\nlink to the artworks / link alle opere https://cragallery.com/artists/laura-omacini/ \n \n\nLE BEATITUDINI \nMostra personale di Laura Omacini \n2 marzo – 1° aprile 2023 \n  \nCrag Gallery è lieta di presentare “Le beatitudini”\, mostra personale dell’artista Laura Omacini (Venezia\, 1991) nella nuova sede della galleria in via Parma 66D\, dal 2 marzo al 1° aprile 2023. \nLe beatitudini è il titolo che riunisce l’ultima serie di opere di Laura Omacini\, presentate per la prima volta nella Project Room del Museo di Ca’ Pesaro a Venezia in occasione della diciottesima edizione della Giornata del Contemporaneo\, e raccolta in questa occasione presso la nuova sede della galleria CRAG di Torino\, già promotrice della mostra lagunare in collaborazione con AMACI e ArtVerona. \nLa nuova serie di opere si sviluppa intorno ad un tema profondamente legato alla città di Venezia\, ma che apre a una riflessione estendibile al panorama di tutte le città storiche\, incentrato sul rapporto tra abitare e conservare\, tra spazio pubblico e privato\, tra luogo sacro e profano\, abbracciando una materia che tocca nodi esistenziali ed identitari. \nSoggetto della serie sono infatti le impalcature che si arrampicano intorno agli edifici in restauro: costruzioni di natura impermanente\, ma che si configurano come elementi costanti del paesaggio urbano\, tanto più là dove si concentri un gran numero di fabbricati antichi. \nL’intero corpus di opere è sviluppato attraverso una tecnica complessa\, ottenuta per tramite di una lenta sovrapposizione di velature trasparenti stese su collages formati da frammenti di foto estrapolate dai giornali. Ne risultano composizioni caratterizzate da una continua interferenza tra i diversi piani della rappresentazione\, dove le strutture di tubi innocenti incorniciano le immagini di un presente inafferrabile\, mentre lo sguardo insegue l’innalzarsi dei grandi teli di protezione\, che sembrano ricucire e contenere la scissione della materia su cui essi stessi appoggiano. \nLa serie si inserisce perfettamente all’interno del percorso dell’artista\, il cui lavoro è caratterizzato da atmosfere diafane e rarefatte\, in cui la descrizione di luoghi di confine e ambienti privi di riferimenti stabili identifica uno spazio simbolico dove simulare l’incontro tra paesaggio interiore e realtà circostanziale\, generando immagini al contempo oniriche e realistiche. \nLAURA OMACINI\nLaura Omacini è nata a Venezia nel 1991\, ha studiato presso l’Accademia di Belle Arti di Venezia e l’École Européenne Supérieure d’Art de Bretagne di Rennes. Nel 2018 è stata vincitrice del Contemporary Art Prize indetto dai Rotary Club di Bonn\, Novara e Strasburgo. Tra il 2019 e il 2020 ha ottenuto l’assegnazione di un atelier presso l’Istituzione Fondazione Bevilacqua La Masa a Venezia. Nel 2020 ha presentato la sua prima personale presso la galleria CRAG di Torino e nel 2021 ha preso parte al programma di residenza d’artista presso il MEVE (memoriale veneto della Grande Guerra di Montebelluna). Conseguentemente alla vincita del premio Level 0\, conseguito insieme alla galleria CRAG di Torino alla 16ma edizione di ArtVerona\, nel 2022 ha presentato la personale Le beatitudini nel Museo di Ca’ Pesaro a Venezia.

It’s raining\, personal exhibition of Lorenzo Gnata.\nThe exhibition proposal\, curated by the Ghёddo Association and CRAG Gallery is part of a wider program of exhibitions\, curated by the Ghёddo Association\, which provides for the collaboration between artists and contemporary art spaces in the Turin area. The entire project is carried out with the support and patronage of the Accademia Albertina of Turin and the City of Turin and with the support of the Venesio Foundation.\nListen. It’s raining – the title of which draws inspiration from Gabriele D’Annunzio’s famous poem Rain in the Pine Grove – is a project specially conceived by Lorenzo Gnata for CRAG Gallery. «Those of the “poet poet” are verses full of panic sensations\, in which the rain\, like an invisible veil\, without distinction\, covers and envelops everything\, making everything a single pulsation of nature» – says the artist.\nThus\, conceived as an aesthetic homage to Nature and to the places where human feeling and the plant world interpenetrate\, the exhibition narrates\, through sculptures and environmental installations\, the ineffable delicacy of emotions. \nThe exhibition will be open every day by appointment \nArtist biography\nLorenzo Gnata [1997] born in Biella\, lives and works in Turin. In 2022 he obtained a second level diploma in painting at the Accademia Albertina in Turin. His artistic research focuses on the existential themes of contemporary man\, showing all his fragility through actions with a strong poetic impact. The artist’s works have been exhibited at: Tate Britain (London)\, Reggia di Venaria – Giardini (Turin)\, La Triennale (Milan)\, Fondazione Treccani (Naples)\, Fondazione Bevilacqua La Masa (Venice)\, Artissima (Turin) and they are part of important public and private collections.\nGhёddo Association biography\nGhëddo is a cultural association active in Turin since 2021 with the aim of organizing cultural projects to enhance and promote young emerging art.
