DESCRIPTION:SIMPLICITY – The beauty behind ceramics  \nMostra personale di Roger Coll \n  \nCRAG – CHIONO REISOVA ART GALLERY \nVia Parma 66/D – Torino \n17 novembre 2022 – 14 gennaio 2023 \nInaugurazione giovedì 17 novembre 16/21 \n  \nLe sculture dell’artista spagnolo Roger Coll (Barcellona\, 1979) sono presentate nella prima personale italiana dedicata all’artista nel nuovo spazio espositivo della Galleria CRAG\, in via Parma 66/D dal 17 novembre 2022 al 14 gennaio 2023. \nRoger Coll si è formato all’Università ETSA – Architettura Tecnica di Barcellona\, successivamente ​​all’EASD di Barcellona\, ​​EASD Pau Gargallo e EASD di Vic\, dove vive e lavora. \nLa mostra dal titolo “Simplicity. The beauty behind ceramics” comprende un ciclo inedito di sculture in ceramica ispirate alla teoria della bellezza nella semplicità\, intesa anche nelle singole parti che compongono il tutto. Plotino diceva che la bellezza consiste nell’unità virtuosa di tutte le forme: “la bellezza è nei molti quando i molti sono visti come uno”. La costruzione di Roger Coll avviene in elementi basilari che nella ripetizione creano qualcosa di più complesso e potente\, che libera la sua creatività. \nOgni scultura ha un colore o una lavorazione finale diversa “ed è come una parola che aiuta a definirla. Se fossi bravo con le parole o il ritmo sarei uno scrittore o un musicista ma non lo sono\, quindi uso un altro modo per esprimermi. In questo senso\, se le opere sono come parole della mia lingua\, termini come scala\, consistenza o colore sono elementi che aiutano a stabilire il tono e a inviare il messaggio. Detto questo\, l’uso del colore non è razionale ma intuitivo. A volte sento che un certo lavoro ha bisogno di quel colore e non di altro. Ma non so spiegare perché” (Roger Coll). \nLa formazione come architetto ha influenzato il lavoro dello scultore sia dal punto di vista dei materiali\, nella forma e nelle caratteristiche\, sia dal punto di vista costruttivo. If I was good with words or rhythm I’d be a writer or a musician but I’m not so I use another way to express myself. In this sense\, if the works are like words in my language\, terms like scale\, texture or color are elements that help set the tone and send the message. That said\, the use of color is not rational but intuitive. Sometimes I feel that a certain job needs that color and nothing else. But I can’t explain why” (Roger Coll). \nTraining as an architect has influenced the sculptor’s work both from the point of view of materials\, in the form and characteristics\, and from the constructive point of view. Since he was a boy\, Coll had a strong interest in all types of materials\, when on his family’s construction sites he collected all sorts of small objects\, foams\, threads\, anything that might seem sculptural. \nHis works move in space\, invading it with fluidity and interacting with the viewer and his senses\, inviting the gaze to perceive its movement. \nexhibition can be visited every day by appointment

DESCRIPTION:HSIANG HAN DESIGN is a multi-disciplinary design studio based in Taipei & Milan\, which gets inspired by nature and concentrates on exploring bionics to combine with technology.
