DESCRIPTION:  \n \n  \n \n  \n \n  \n \n  \nCRAG Gallery is pleased to present the works of the two young artists\, Laura Omacini and Oscar Rojas Contreras\, with a double inauguration\, in the solo exhibitions to be held from 8 October to 22 November 2020. \nThe two exhibitions\, organised respectively in in via Giolitti 51 and in the Home Gallery in via Maria Vittoria 45 in Turin\, are the most recent proposal of the research that CRAG has been doing for four years on young Italian painting. In this case\, there will be on display about thirty works by the two painters who both trained at the Academy of Fine Arts in Venice. It is interesting to note how the vision of the landscape is different for the two artists: Laura Omacini is focused on an intimate representation\, she tells us about the reality that surrounds her and leads us to distant horizons\, almost to meditation. Oscar Rojas Contreras detaches himself from the horizon to abandon himself in an often celestial dimension. \nLaura Omacini’s exhibition (Venice\, 1991) entitled “DE LIMITE”\, focuses on marine settings that confront the idea of ​​limits. In his landscapes\, the artist describes a sea that takes shape through the creation of multiple pictorial layers and experimental figurative weaves. Not only spatial but also temporal relationships arise. Geometric details and technical expedients emerge that allow us\, quoting the text of his teacher Yoann Van Parys\, to separate and distance ourselves from this same time that identifies us as men\, how we could rise above it in order to finally be able to observe it and to enjoy it finally the inherent serenity. \nPlease click here to read Curatorial text – Yoann Van Parys \nPlease click here to see the artworks  \n\n  \nCRAG Gallery è lieta di presentare con doppia inaugurazione i lavori dei due giovani artisti\, Laura Omacini e Oscar Rojas Contreras\, nelle mostre personali che si terranno dall’8 ottobre al 22 novembre 2020.  \nLe due mostre\, organizzate rispettivamente nella sede di via Giolitti 51 e nella Home Gallery di via Maria Vittoria 45 a Torino\, sono la proposta più recente della ricerca che CRAG fa da quattro anni intorno alla giovane pittura italiana. In questo caso sono esposte circa trenta opere dei due pittori che si sono formati entrambi all’Accademia di Belle Arti di Venezia. E’ interessante notare come per i due artisti sia differente la visione del paesaggio: Laura Omacini è concentrata su una raffigurazione intima\, ci narra il reale che la circonda e ci porta verso orizzonti lontani\, quasi alla meditazione.  Oscar Rojas Contreras si stacca dall’orizzonte per abbandonarsi in una dimensione spesso celestiale. \nLa mostra di Laura Omacini (Venezia\, 1991) dal titolo “DE LIMITE”\, ha come fulcro ambientazioni marine che si confrontano con l’idea del limite. Nei suoi paesaggi\, l’artista descrive un mare che prende forma attraverso la creazione di più piani pittorici e da intrecci figurativi sperimentali. Ne derivano relazioni non solo spaziali ma anche temporali. Oscar Rojas Contreras detaches himself from the horizon to abandon himself in an often celestial dimension. \nThe exhibition “Open Tales” by Oscar Rojas Contreras (Toluca-Mexico\, 1986) is composed of works whose fulcrum is the theme of the landscape declined\, however\, in a dimension that ranges between reality\, history\, classicism\, where color and the originality of the representation are the protagonists. In this case our mind is projected into an “other” dimension\, both in the very small format paintings and in the great works that make us fluctuate between running horses and battles\, between islands and sirens\, between angels and temptations. The artist metabolizes the stimuli from ancient times to rework them in a tumultuous painting\, on the ridge between figuration and abstraction. A vast imaginary emerges\, from the dynamism of Tintoretto to the atmospheres of Turner. (Cristiana Campanini\, Cairo Award 2019). In questo caso la nostra mente si trova proiettata in una dimensione “altra”\, tanto nei quadri di piccolissimo formato quanto nelle grandi opere che ci fanno fluttuare tra cavalli in corsa e battaglie\, tra isole e sirene\, tra angeli e tentazioni. L’artista metabolizza gli stimoli dall’antico per rielaborarli in una pittura tumultuosa\, sul crinale tra figurazione e astrazione. Affiora un vasto immaginario\, dal dinamismo di Tintoretto alle atmosfere di Turner. (Cristiana Campanini\, Premio Cairo 2019).
